Founded in 2004 by Jeni Gospodinova, our school is the largest ballet school in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. We teach thousands of students over the years while honoring the tradition of classical ballet.
Our mission is to celebrate the gift of every day. We teach the children about life through ballet. Discipline, respect, joy, commitment, and confidence are our main lessons!
We deliver excellent body alignment and techniques. We inspire and teach excellence. We create safe environment to grow and learn.
We believe that perfection is imperfection. We believe that everyone is different. We are true in the midst of pop culture. We create magic.
"As the founder of Jenie's Dance School, I wanted to start a school where kids could foster their passion for dance and ballet. I created a legacy by having taught thousands of students over the history of the Jenie's Dance School. My attention to detail and clean lines are my trademarks. I honour the tradition of the classical ballet school and try to keep Jenie's Dance School very true in the midst of media and pop culture. I want children to stay children so they would grow to respect themselves and their bodies as they grew into teens and adults.
I hope that Jenie's Dance School is a huge part of the growing up of the little dancers, and I realize that they are learning so much more than ballet. They are learning so much about life within the classroom walls. They are learning about discipline within themselves, they are learning to express their feelings through movement, I hope they are gaining poise and confidence and they are learning how to be joyful and respectful to themselves and others."
Since the foundation of Jenie's Dance School we have worked, faced challenges, received applause, and enlarged Jenie's Dance School family. Over 1500 students have passed through our ballet studio, over 160 choreographies have been designed. We have created and presented some of the most beautiful stories. Among them:
Our classes are taught using the Vaganova method. They are also offered billingually. Children, young-adults, and adults can enroll. Learn more below:
Ages 3-5 - Basic ballet steps and positions and a lot of FUN.
Ages 5-10.
Ages 10-15. Two classes/week recommended.
Ages 15-18. Two or three classes/week recommended.
Ages 11 and up. Two or three classes/week required.
Age 18 and up.
